DLG to and from E00 file conversion

This page converts Digital Line Graph(DLG) to and from ARC/INFO coverages. I have had problems with FTP/ascii of DLG files when developeing the DLGARC conversion utility.

DLGARC <STANDARD | OPTIONAL> <in_dlg_file> <out_cover> {out_point_cover}
{NOFIRST | ALL | ATTRIBUTED} {x_shift} {y_shift} {category}

Specifies whether the DLG file to be read is in Standard (144 bytes per record)
or Optional (80 bytes per record) format: STANDARD OPTIONAL

URL address of the DLG file (Sorry HTTP only). (ftp/http://domain/directories/filename.dlg):

Name of the ARC/INFO coverage to be created from the DLG data:

Optional point coverage to be created from degenerate Line (L) records in the DLG:

Options, determines how the Area (A) records are written to the <out_cover>:

X-shift - constant value to be added to all coverage x-coordinates during
the DLG conversion. The default is 0:

Y-shift - constant value to be added to all coverage y-coordinates during
the DLG conversion. The default is 0:

The optional name of a specific DLG category to be converted from the DLG file:

Coverage Processing

CLEAN/POLY(.nat,.pcode)
BUILD/LINE/JOINITEM(.aat,.acode)
BUILD/POINT/JOINITEM(.pat,.xcode)

Export File

Options, specifies the data type to be exported to the interchange file:

Options, specifies how numbers and blanks will be compressed in the export file:

ARCDLG <in_cover> <out_dlg_file> {in_point_cover} {in_projection_file}
{x_shift} {y_shift} {in_header_file} {TRANS | NOTRANS}

URL of the coverage to be converted to DLG format. It may contain polygon,
line and node features.(ftp/http://domain/directories/filename.e00):

The name of the output DLG-3 Optional format file to be created.:

Optional coverage URL containing point features to be written as zero length, degenerate
Line (L) records in the output DLG. (ftp/http://domain/directories/filename.e00):

URL of a text file containing INPUT projection parameters to be saved in the
DLG header (ftp/http://domain/directories/filename.txt):
