|dc.description.abstract||Over the past 15 years, SHERPA Services have provided Open Access Intelligence to the sector to assist with and promote the Open Access agenda. Over that time, the context of Open Access has changed remarkably, and SHERPA Services is re-engineering its infrastructure to enable us to meet today’s more complex Legal, Policy and Compliance landscape.
At the start of 2017, we began a lightweight agile project with the goal of updating the infrastructure, branding and capabilities of the SHERPA suite of services. Running in parallel with the large-scale rebuild of our services, the project plans to deliver a refresh of all of our services by the end of 2017.
The key goals of the refresh were to improve:
· User interaction with our data
Better, more consistent data API
3rd party editing of records
· Technical infrastructure
Move from bespoke code to platform
Enable better support for rapid feature development
· Look and Feel
More responsive design
Integration of Jisc templates
In May 2017, we reached a milestone with the completion of the beta version of the new Juliet platform. We would like to demonstrate this to the conference and talk about what it means for our other services.
Our presentation will cover the context this project sits in, a quick demonstration of the high-points of the system and a call to the community to assist with beta testing and feedback||en
