Abstract
Six cases of congenital dislocation of the hip are reported illustrating various stages of treatment, and some of
the complications liable to occur.
The cases are discussed from the point of view of the
etiology, pathology, prognosis, and treatment of the condition.
The development of the superior rim of the acetabulum
is the crux of the problem, and biopsy is suggested as a line
of investigation, which might throw light on the subject about
which there is still much to be learnt.
