I. The effects of section of the pubic symphysis
and of separation of the pubic bones (as performed in
the operation of Symphysiotomy) on the structural elements of the female pelvis (soft and hard tissues).
II. The, increase of pelvic diameters resulting from
such separation of the Pubic bones.
So that under section I., along with other
subjects of interest such as the movements which the
bones undergo, we find what amount of pubic separation
is safe; and, under section II. what that (safe) a -
mount of separation will yield us.
