dc.description.abstract
This Research Finding draws together existing Scottish data on trends in family formation and dissolution. This includes data
on marriage and divorce from the General Register Office for Scotland (GROS), Scottish censuses and the Scottish Social
Attitudes (SSA) survey. This work has been undertaken as part of the government’s commitment to evidence-based policy
making in advance of the proposed Family Law reform in Scotland.
