Experimental observations on the etiology of lymphadenoma

Abstract

The results recorded in the first part of this paper indicate, in The first place, that the encephalitogenic action of extracts of leucocyted and other tissues on the brain of the rabbit is not due to proteolytic action per se, as the injection of extracts of pancreas, as well as of commercial trypsin and pepsi entirely failed to reproduce the characteristic syndrome in the rabbit. The result with pancreatic extracts also proves that a lipolytic ferment plays no part in the production of the syndrome.
