Sandfly fever and urobilinuria

Abstract


1. Except in the presence of an epidemic of Sandfly fever and in Sandf'ly season, the diagnosis of this fever still remains unsatisfactory,
2, In places where Sandfly fever and Malaria are prevalent at the same time, there is often difficulty in the differential diagnosis. The examination of urine for urobilin in such cases is of considerable help.
3. In cases of uncomplicated Sandfly fever, urobilin in urine is generally absent.
4. The incidence or Sandfly fever amongst the new corners to an endemic zone is high.
5. The importance or employing "salted troops' in areas where Sandfly fever is endemic is a question well worth considering.
