dc.description.abstract
In Quito, UKRI GCRF funding has allowed the Tomorrow’s Cities Hub to work in partnership with government, universities, civil society and communities since late 2019. This interdisciplinary team is actively working to secure disaster risk management and livelihood opportunities for the most vulnerable populations caught up in the rapid urban growing. This five year investment by UKRI was designed to secure lasting change, yet it is now under severe jeopardy due to cuts to the UK’s ODA budget. This statement is Tomorrow's Quito's response to the cuts.
