Abstract
Currently the teaching of modern languages in secondary schools is predominantly orientated towards a very pragmatic use of foreign languages. How do we cope with everyday situations? How do we communicate with a foreign tourist we meet in our own country? It is relevant to use authentic materials and 'real' communicative texts. With fictional texts, one would be dealing with genuine and authentic material which is part of the foreign country itself.
