Final Report for Verbmobil 1 TP 4.4

Abstract

This is the final report for work carried out from January 1996 to October 1996 for the Verbmobil project, Teilprojekt 4.4 (English synthesis). It describes the algorithms for unit selection and prosody generation. The flexibility of the solution is shown, as are any assumptions, simplifications and limitations.
