(1) Successive stages in the development of the Müllerian duct and its node of fusion with the cloaca are described. (2) The tubal ridge is concerned in the process of formation of the outer tunic of the Müllerian duct. (3) The course of the Müllerian duct in relation to the Wolffian duct in its different developmental phases is described and discussed. (4) The Müllerian duct instead of opening into the cloaca ends blindly, owing to the interruption of an occluding plate.
