General note on the propagation of the Acanthaceae

Abstract


The power of reproduction in a a characteristic possessed by all living organisms. It is a necessity for the continuance and multiplication of species. By this process in the plant world, the Earth's surface is kept covered with vegetation. New areas are encroached upon, the old areas preserved. In the struggle for existence, those plants are most widely distributed, which have successfully solved the problem of the propagation of their species.
