Website design for planning and visualization of safer routes to school
Abstract
People are increasingly worried about declining health and lack of exercise when students are deported to school every day, which may have an impact on schools by increasing traffic congestion.
Local authorities are trying to use a network service tool to help parents determine safer routes to school. Under this premise, the data set used by this tool must be easily accessible so that it can be promoted.
Based on factors such as street lighting, crime rate, accident risk, green space distribution, traffic flow, etc., this research uses the pairwise comparison method to weight and evaluate the security of the entire network.
This network file is stored in the PostgreSQL database, and the school information and school catchment are also stored together. Network routing is done by pgrouting, which is an extension of PostgreGIS. The final result is displayed by the web page. This is an HTML web page built based on JavaScript. The backend is processed by python to get data from PostgreSQL.
This research proposes a method of path planning using a space server to conveniently realize safe path navigation. It also provides planning and visualization of safe school routes.
