Abstract
A key recommendation from research and public engagement on climate action in Scotland is for the Scottish Government to develop a clear and concise vision and map, to help the public understand where everyone needs to get to and the required actions. This research found limited literature on the use and effectiveness of route maps and score cards in communicating climate change goals and actions. It also found little evidence on alternative approaches to communicate climate change progress and/or goals in Scotland. However, the report makes recommendations on how any future climate change communication method should be designed based on the findings from the literature review and workshops with the general public and stakeholder organisations.
