Petroleum Conveyance: The Petroleum-Spirit (Conveyance) Regulations, 1948

Abstract

Under Regulation 9 of the Petroleum-Spirit (Conveyance) Regulations, 1939, petroleum-spirit may, in the circumstances in which that Regulation applies, be conveyed by road only in strong metal vessels. The amendment made by these Regulations permits the conveyance in vessels of other suitable materials when the vessels contain not more than one pint each and are securely packed into an outer container so that there are not more than three gallons in the aggregate in each outer container.
