Permanent URI for this collectionhttps://hdl.handle.net/1842/37268
The UK Department of Energy funded research into wave energy between 1974 and 1983 under its Wave Energy Programme. The programme’s goals were to assess the feasibility and cost of energy of wave generated electricity for the UK grid. The Energy Technology Support Unit (ETSU) was responsible to assess the possible contribution of wave energy to the UK energy supply. This collection contains 97 reports based on the projects funded by the Wave Energy Programme.
The reports in this Collection include a wide range of topics such as device designs, resource, economic assessment, and moorings.
The ERA (link: https://era.ed.ac.uk/) , Wave Energy Scotland (link: https://www.waveenergyscotland.co.uk/), and the Policy and Innovation Group (link: http://www.policyandinnovationedinburgh.org/) have made this collection available to the public to support knowledge distribution.
